Dr Nilsen-Nunn is a general practitioner having trained and Qualified in 2009 from Leeds Medical School. Initially embarking on a surgical career before entering general practice in 2014. Whilst training in surgery she worked in many specialities such as urology, breast, ENT, cardiac, bariatric and colorectal. It was during this time she completed her MSc (Edinburgh) and has been published multiple times in various medical publications. The knowledge from these specialities has only proven to enhance her knowledge in general practice.
During her training she was fortunate to have spent nearly a year in obstetrics and gynaecology meaning she now has a special interest in Women’s Health including sexual health / STD / contraception and subfertility. Since she started work in West Yorkshire as a GP she has also developed an interest in sports medicine this led her to become the team doctor for Coventry RFC whilst they were in the National 1 league in the UK. This gave her the insight into treating patients holistically and using complementary medicine when needed. On qualifying in General Practice Dr Nilsen-Nunn was ranked higher than the National average in both professional behaviour and clinical performance
Given her time in surgery she is fully qualified and insured to undertake minor surgical procedures and joint injection.
